Should there be cap on endorsements for sportsmen?
Wednesday, July 25th, 2007The fee offered by sports organisations or the prize money should not be the charm and motivation to play a game. Players should have passion for the game. It is quite true that the fee offered to the players is peanuts compared to what is offered by the endorsement companies and today only a successful sportsman gets endorsement offers. So, it is in his own interest to perform at his best so as to keep getting endorsement offers.
Endorsements can be limited to some extent for the mutual interest of the game as well as the players. If the endorsement income is not allowed to exceed the contract income, then you can keep players Dhoni, Sachin, Dravid, Ganguly, Sehwag and many others in check. In any case cricket should be their number one priority.
What to expect from driving school?
Wednesday, July 25th, 2007Driving schools are usually quite good. A lot depends upon your instructor and the kind of driving shool you are looking for. If it is “learn to drive” school they will cover all normal functions of the car from lights to wipers, proper driving techniques, and actual behind the wheel experience. This will include city driving and normal maneuvers(turns, u-turns, 3-point turns, reverse, parellel parking), and also freeway driving (merging, lane changes).
If it is defensive driving they will cover car dynamics, correcting over & understeer, spin correction, emergency breaking(with and without ABS), fluid car movements, and emergency lane changes.
Most likely it will be in a combination of stick shift and automatic cars.
The instructors are incredible drivers and if you pay attention and listen closely, you will come out of the class as a different driver, a better driver.
Is computer causing global warming?
Wednesday, July 25th, 2007Computers indirectly contribute towards global warming. They use energy, which draws electricity from power plants and increases the demand for power. That means more fuel is burned and more CO2 is released into the atmosphere. Computers emit some heat too. According to a new research office workers who leave two million computers on every night are speeding up climate change. So, along with the television you switch off the computer too.

1. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad- This is a fun roller coaster. Its not so scary so kids will like it.

4. Indiana Jones- Scary, but a cool ride.

Parking up?
Monday, July 23rd, 2007Parking is the problem faced by many people. It gets very annoying when people just have zero consideration for other vehicles parked. You should take certain precautions while parking your car. Always park next to a curb if possible. Always park with your driver side closer to the parking line if you pull in forward. This means you will be closer to a car’s passenger side, instead of the other side’s driver door. Park out “in the boonies” if you can. Walking an extra 100ft with your car in safety is better than saving an extra minute and have $200 worth of damage to your car. You can also try to park next to handicap spots. They are not used as often, and they are good wide spots.
